Keeping you informed

The RentPro team have a number of exiciting new features planned for the next few months - all of which you'll receive as part of your RentPro subscription. As usual we'll be keeping you up-to-date with developments via our regular newsletters.

Read on to discover features which have recently been added.


Bulk Reporting for Landlords

It's now possible to generate statements for all active landlords at one time. This should certainly speed things up when producing monthly landlord reports!

To use this feature access the landlord reports area as before (via Reports -> Landlords). When requested to select a landlord instance, you'll notice that the default option is now 'All'. The bulk option is applicable to both forms of the landlord statement with the resulting reports generated in PDF format.

Note that this option is available to RentPro Business and RentPro Max customers only.


Holding Deposits

As always, we welcome feedback from our RentPro subscribers. A number of you had reported difficulties in effectively managing holding deposits within RentPro. An enhancement has now been deployed to resolve this situation.

When a holding deposit is received for a particular property no associated tenancy will be in existence. It's therefore not possible to record this income within the Property Transactions area of the Bank module. To manage such transactions a new tenant fee type has been added. When recording such a fee you will be required to specify which property instance the fee is associated with. If the tenant against which the fee has been raised (and paid) subsequently commences a tenancy in the specified property, then the holding deposit will be automatically migrated to a 'proper' security deposit.


Additional Date Range for Reports

For many of the reports within RentPro, including rent reports, landlord, tenant and supplier statements, the end date of the last generated report is now stored (for system and admin users only). This means that when you subsequently generate a report, of the same type and for the same entity (property, landlord, tenant or supplier), you will have the option of generating the report from the last report end date.

It's now possible to generate a PDF version of the tenancy alert report.
