RentPro rental management software

Overview

A new RentPro release was made available yesterday evening. A comprehensive list of the features included in this release can be found on the RentPro announcements page.

Tenancy Enhancements

Over the next few weeks we have important improvements scheduled for RentPro. These primarily centre around property tenancies. The improvements will culminate in the ability to have multiple, simultaneous tenancies against a property, i.e. HMOs (Homes of Multiple Occupancy).

As a first step we've improved the process of adding and updating a property tenancy. You'll find the process of adding a new tenancy much quicker. For instance, benefit component details only have to be supplied if required. Also, the option now exists to record details of the benefit awarding authority and the schedule of payments received from that authority. (See below for more detail about adding benefit authority details.)

Help text, indicated by the question mark icons, has also been added to the tenancy add and update screens. Simply click on the appropriate icon to display the help text.

We've also updated the online documentation to reflect these changes, so consult it first if you have any difficulties in undestanding the changes. If you're still having bother then raise a support request, via support@rentpro.co.uk, and we'll help resolve your issue.

Benefit Authorities

Details of housing authorities that award benefit payments can now be defined within the RentPro Control Panel. (The Control Panel can be accessed from the Admin menu item.) When defined, the awarding authority can be stored against a property tenancy along with details of the payments made.

Benefit Schedule

To complement the enhancements detailed above a new Benefit Schedule report has been added. This report details the next payment due for each tenancy where the rent is at least partly paid by a housing benefit authority.

The new report can be accessed via the Reports -> Alerts menu item.

Property Notes

To comply with ARLA regulations, the mechanism by which notes are stored against a property instance has been changed. All notes added to a property are now timestamped along with a record of the user who added the note. These notes are non-editable and cannot be deleted.

As RentPro evolves, new capabilities are added to the product's already comprehensive feature set. Although all the features and functionality of the product are documented online, an onsite, hands-on training session is often invaluable to enable customers to hit the ground running.

Our half-day and full-day training packages allow you to explore the full potential of the product, and to address specific questions relating to your own unique way of conducting your property letting business. Find out more...

If you would like to arrange a training session at your premises, then please contact us on 028 4175 4844, by email at info@rentpro.co.uk
